 What is Cancer? 

Cancer is a disease in which some of the body’s cells grow uncontrollably and spread to other parts of the body. Cancer can start almost anywhere in the human body, which is made up of trillions of cells. Normally, human cells grow and multiply (through a process called cell division) to form new cells as the body needs them. When cells grow old or become damaged, they die, and new cells take their place.


Cancer is a large group of disease that can affect any part of body that's leads to death of human beings. Cancerous cells are frequent division of abnormal cells and they spread toward other organs of body.

Cancer can cause death worldwide approximately 10 millions deaths in 2020, and increase in number in upcoming year's. 

Cancer can be caused due to smoking, consumption of alcohol and low physical activities. The most common forms of cancer are breast, lungs, blood and brain cancer.

Causes of cancer:


Their is no exact reason of cancer causing it must be due to following reasons, 

1. Genetic makeup

Cancer can be occurred due to change or mutation in DNA that can alter the normal functioning of cells and convert them into tumerous cells.

Mostly cancer such breast cancer is hereditary and can be transferred. Approximately 5-10% cancers are caused directly due to hereditary genetic mutation.


2. Smoking

Tobacco smoke contain about 69 cancer causing agents that can affect your lungs, stomach and bladders and even cause severe problems due to lungs, stomach and bladders cancer. Any types of smoking is harmful for human health and leads to death. Cigarettes smoke can release 90% in atmosphere and its also affect the other person who is breathing in that environment.




3. UV and Sun exposure
A sunburn is your skin's response to excessive UV exposure.If you are fair-skinned, you are at a higher risk of skin cancer than someone with a darker skin tone. This is because fair skin has less melanin, a pigment that protects the skin from UV rays.If you are exposed to artificial sources of UV radiation at work its also cancer skin cancer.


4. Exposure to radiation
Radiation can also come from medical imaging procedures used for X-rays and CT scans. And we are daily exposed to natural and man- made radiation and excessive exposure to radiation can cause cells in your body to undergo changes.

Carcinoma

Carcinoma is most common type of cancer that can affects body organ and glands such as pancreas, lungs, skin and breast. 

Sarcoma

This type of cancer can affects soft and connective tissues of body for example blood vessels, bones, cartilage and muscles tissues 

Melanoma

Melanoma type of cancer can develop in cell that pigment your skin. 

Lymphoma

This types of cancer can affects white blood cells or lymphocytes. 

Leukemia

Leukemia can affects blood.

*Cancer Treatment*


 There are different types of cancer treatment and each treatment can depends on type of cancer, some of treatment are given as,

1. Surgery

During this process surgeon can remove the cancer cells from body and different ways are used for cancer surgery. 

2. Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy is another type of treatment in which drugs are used to kill cancerous cells that drugs can be nano sized and used to treated affected parts directly without exposure to whole body. 

3. Stem cell transplant

In this types the stem cells of compatible donor can be restored with cancer cells. Much care can be important during this treatment. 

4. Targeted therapy

 In targeted therapy the affected cells are targets to kill and avoid to spread in other body organs.

5. Radiation therapy

In RI process high level of radiation are used to kill cancer cells and to shrink tumerous cells.

Cancer is a generic disease in which body cells divide uncontrollably and spread im body organ and causes human death. A plan for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer is a key component of any cancer control plan. Its main goal is to cure cancer patients or prolong their life considerably, ensuring a good quality of life.
